Finding a Breeder
Reputable breeders seek to register their litters with local Kennel Clubs, and litters of puppies can be found on their websites. Kennel Clubs have strict requirements for registering litters, including age of the dam, litter limits, and restrictions on inbreeding, to ensure the safety and health of both dam and puppies.

Looking for a puppy in Bermuda?
The BKC does not maintain a list of local breeders, as we cannot presume to endorse or approve them all. The club is run entirely by volunteers.
Prospective owners should proceed with caution. There have been reports of puppies purchased locally that are unwell, and cases where buyers paid for puppies advertised as BKC-registered but never received proper pedigree documentation.
A reliable approach is to consult local veterinarians, who may be aware of upcoming litters.
When choosing a breeder:
- Ensure you can see both the dam and sire of the puppies
- Expect a responsible breeder to ask detailed questions about you and your home
- Ask questions about the breeder and the health and background of the dam and sire
- Establishing a good rapport with your breeder is important
Importing a Puppy via the UK
A puppy can travel from the UK to Bermuda from age 10 weeks via British Airways, which requires arrangements through an animal courier.
Importing a Puppy via USA or Canada
The Bermuda Government requires all dogs from these countries to have up-to-date rabies vaccinations. Dogs under 10 months, or with only a single rabies vaccination, do not qualify for entry unless arriving directly from the UK, Australia, New Zealand or Jamaica.
