Welcome to the Bermuda Kennel Club (BKC)

The BKC is the Governing Body and Official Registry of Pure Bred dogs in Bermuda.

Mixed breed dogs are now also accepted for registration for competition trials in Bermuda.

The BKC is the sports-governing body for all approved dog events in Bermuda, including conformation (dog shows), agility and obedience trials.

The BKC is affiliated with The Kennel Club (UK), the American Kennel Club (AKC), the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) and other official Kennel Clubs to support and preserve the identity of the pure-bred dog. See the Links page for more.

To register a dog with the BKC, pedigrees and registration certificates must come from the governing Kennel Club of the country in which you reside, or where the dog was born:

  • The Kennel Club (KC) – United Kingdom – thekennelclub.org.uk
  • The American Kennel Club (AKC) – USA – akc.org
  • The Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) – Canada – ckc.ca

The BKC is not connected with unofficial, private registration companies that supply breeders’ pedigrees or unofficial registration certificates. These are not recognised by the BKC.
